Logistics is a fundamental component of the post‐harvest processes, especially in the floricultural sector where the products have to be marketed in short times after the cutting because of their fragility. In the previous years, new approaches to efficiently manage the logistical function and to reduce costs and environmental impacts have been consolidated. In this paper, the investments for two different containers for flower transportation, one disposable and one reusable, are compared, considering a specific supply chain located in central Italy. All data were provided by stakeholders. These were divided into four groups: purchasing, administration, logistical and disposal costs. For the reusable containers, a reverse logistical system, to collect the return components, was hypothesised by using the network analysis tool of the geographic information system (GIS). Results show that the use of a reusable system, which assures a production with less waste and less environmental pressures, is also economically advantageous. Reusable containers involve an initial investment but became cheaper from the second year of the investment and also remained convenient, considering all the costs related to the return collection of the items. Reusable system permits a financial advantage of approximately 140 k€ in total and 21 k€ for each year, considering all the nine years of analysis. Logistics is responsible of the great contribution of total cost in both the reusable and the disposable container (88% and 76%), probably because of the high fragmentation in the delivery service to sale points. The C-terminal aminoacidic sequence from NPM1-mutated protein, absent in normal human tissues, may serve as a leukemia-specific antigen and can be considered an ideal target for NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML) immunotherapy. Different in silico instruments and in vitro/ex vivo immunological platforms have identified the most immunogenic epitopes from NPM1-mutated protein. Spontaneous development of endogenous NPM1-mutated-specific cytotoxic T cells has been observed in patients, potentially contributing to remission maintenance and prolonged survival. Genetically engineered T cells, namely CAR-T or TCR-transduced T cells, directed against NPM1-mutated peptides bound to HLA could prospectively represent a promising therapeutic approach. Although either adoptive or vaccine-based immunotherapies are unlikely to be highly effective in patients with full-blown leukemia, these strategies, potentially in combination with immune-checkpoint inhibitors, could be promising in maintaining remission or preemptively eradicating persistent measurable residual disease, mainly in patients ineligible for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Alternatively, neoantigen-specific donor lymphocyte infusion derived from healthy donors and targeting NPM1-mutated protein to selectively elicit graft-versus-leukemia effect may represent an attractive option in subjects experiencing post-HSCT relapse. Future studies are warranted to further investigate dynamics of NPM1-mutated-specific immunity and explore whether novel individualized immunotherapies may have potential clinical utility in NPM1-mutated AML patients.  相似文献

Imidazolium poly(butylene terephthalate) ionomers with ionic groups located randomly along the polymer chain or selectively as end-groups (telechelic) have been prepared in order to determine their antimicrobial (AM) activity. Two different approaches have been followed for the linkage of the imidazolium to the polymer backbone: a covalent bond and an ionic aggregation to sulfonated groups covalently bonded to the polymer. The ionic groups have been linked to the polymer in order to improve the long-term AM activity since the low molecular weight additives commonly used tends to migrate toward the surface during use. We have found that imidazolium ionomers present AM activity comparable with that of commercial antimicrobial agents such as Triclosan. The AM activity depends on the polymer architecture, the telechelic approach being more active compared to the random approach. We have proved that imidazolium ionomers retain their high AM activity even after 6 days in water at 60 °C while Triclosan consistently loses his activity.  相似文献

Wheat α-amylase inhibitors (α-AIs) are known anti-nutritional factors, respiratory allergens, and they can sporadically cause food allergy. α-AIs are therefore expected to reach the enteric mucosae in an immunologically active form, but information on their stability to gastric digestion is not available. Resistance to pepsinolysis is nonetheless a key factor for any food allergen. We therefore investigated whether α-AIs could resist pepsin digestion in simulated gastric fluids (SGF) and in emulsified SGF, the latter simulating more realistically the multi-phase nature of stomach bolus. Since α-AIs comprise a huge family of proteins, we investigated 0.19 α-AI as a prominent member. The digestion patterns were analyzed by immunoblotting using anti-0.19 polyclonal antibodies and sera from wheat allergic patients sensitized to 0.19 α-AI. The results show that the immune epitopes of α-AI are detectable up to 120 min of digestion in emulsifying conditions. Intra-molecular disulfide bonds and, in particular, emulsification were found to be crucial factors for protein stability. The results show that 0.19 α-AI must be considered a potential food allergen.  相似文献

A local structure study of ZnS nanocrystals, doped with very low concentrations of Cu, was carried out using the EXAFS technique to better understand how Cu substitutes into the host lattice and forms Cu luminescence centers. We show that a large fraction of the Cu have three nearest neighbor S atoms and the Cu-S bond is significantly shortened compared to Zn-S, by ~0.08 ?. In addition, the second neighbor Cu-Cu peak is extremely small. We propose that Cu occupies an interior site next to a S(2-) vacancy, with the Cu displaced towards the remaining S(2-) and away from the vacancy; such a displacement immediately explains the lack of a significant Cu-Cu peak in the data. There is no evidence for interstitial Cu sites (Cu(i)), indicating that no more than 2% of the Cu are Cu(i.) This study provides new insights into the local structure of the Cu dopant in ZnS without the presence of CuS nanoprecipitates that are present at higher Cu doping levels.  相似文献

In this work, we present a nanometer resolution structural characterization of epitaxial graphene (EG) layers grown on 4H-SiC (0001) 8° off-axis, by annealing in inert gas ambient (Ar) in a wide temperature range (T gr from 1600 to 2000°C). For all the considered growth temperatures, few layers of graphene (FLG) conformally covering the 100 to 200-nm wide terraces of the SiC surface have been observed by high-resolution cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy (HR-XTEM). Tapping mode atomic force microscopy (t-AFM) showed the formation of wrinkles with approx. 1 to 2 nm height and 10 to 20 nm width in the FLG film, as a result of the release of the compressive strain, which builds up in FLG during the sample cooling due to the thermal expansion coefficients mismatch between graphene and SiC. While for EG grown on on-axis 4H-SiC an isotropic mesh-like network of wrinkles interconnected into nodes is commonly reported, in the present case of a vicinal SiC surface, wrinkles are preferentially oriented in the direction perpendicular to the step edges of the SiC terraces. For each T gr, the number of graphene layers was determined on very small sample areas by HR-XTEM and, with high statistics and on several sample positions, by measuring the depth of selectively etched trenches in FLG by t-AFM. Both the density of wrinkles and the number of graphene layers are found to increase almost linearly as a function of the growth temperature in the considered temperature range.  相似文献

Freshness represents a pivotal aspect in fish product for both security and quality. Its evaluation still represents the key factor driving the consumer’ choices. Fish appearance is affected by many different factors that demand the contribution of different disciplines to be understood: from the physical and optical properties to the slaughtering and post-slaughtering conditions. An innovative preservation system is represented by the Passive Refrigeration PRS? developed for the preservation and transport of perishable food products. Scientific methods for product freshness evaluation may be conveniently divided into two categories: sensorial and instrumental. In this study, an instrumental method of colour calibration and discrimination is proposed at pilot scale for automatic evaluation of gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) freshness. We propose a non-destructive method based on the colorimetric imaging of the whole external body of seabreams to evaluate through multivariate partial least squares which approach the differences in the freshness preservation under four refrigeration modalities. The matrix of the independent variables is represented by RGB values for each pixel belonging to an extracted region of interest (129,633 values). The dependent variable is composed by two dummy variable corresponding to fresh (T0) or non-fresh (T2) individuals. T1 individuals were used as external test. The results quantified significant colorimetric differences between fresh and non-fresh fish. All fish used to create the model (T0 and T2) were correctly classified as fresh or non-fresh, while external test individuals (T1) were all classified as fresh. The proposed imaging method merges different image analysis techniques: (a) colorimetric calibration, (b) morphometric superimposition and (c) partial least square discriminant analysis modelling. This innovative and non-destructive approach allows the automatic assessment of fish freshness.  相似文献

A structural adhesive from I.C.R., X07 Extreme®, was fully characterised through tensile test, static and dynamic lap-shear strength test, cleavage peel test and DSC. Lap-shear tests were performed by using either aluminium, stainless steel and glass fibre reinforced polymer as substrate and after aging the specimen under extreme environmental conditions. The performance of this novel adhesive was compared to that of a structural adhesive of a competitor. The work summarises the typical procedures intended for the qualification of a structural adhesive for marine joints.  相似文献

The inherent microstructural disorder strongly influences the mechanical behaviour of heterogeneous materials such as concrete and rocks. Tensile and compression tests, in fact, evidenced a localization of strain and dissipated energy in the post-peak softening branch, with a consequent scale dependence of the stress–strain response. For this reason, the well-known Cohesive Crack Model and the recently proposed Overlapping Crack Model are useful tools for describing the size effects in tension and compression, respectively. In general, strain localization, damage and fracture, which are phenomena affecting the failure of concrete, are not rigorously interpretable in the framework of continuum mechanics. On the other hand, since the flaw and the aggregate distributions in quasibrittle materials are often self-similar (i.e. they look the same at different magnification levels), the microstructure may be correctly modelled by fractal sets. In this paper, the approach based on fractal geometry, that has profitably been applied for the tensile behaviour, is applied to obtain a fractal overlapping law from uniaxial compression tests. According to this approach, it is assumed that energy dissipation, stress and strain are not defined with respect to the canonical physical dimensions, though on fractal sets presenting noninteger physical dimensions. As a consequence, these classical parameters should be substituted by fractal quantities, which become the true material properties.  相似文献

In this paper the performances of an electronic nose based on metalloporphyrin‐coated quartz microbalance sensors and of an experienced panel of seven human assessors in the evaluation of gases derived from degradation reactions in tomatoes are presented and discussed. The performances are measured in terms of the capability of both systems to distinguish between samples of different quality coming from conventional and organic production systems. The study deals with the application of pattern recognition techniques based on either multivariate statistical methods (PCA, GPA) or artificial neural networks using a self‐organising map (SOM). The response pattern of the sensor array and the sensory data are analysed and compared using these methods. Similarities in the classification of the data by electronic nose and human sensory profiling are found. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献
